This, without a doubt, is a big week for The Equinox.
Right now we’re putting together a big paper (24 pages) and on Thursday the majority of the e-board is jetsetting to San Diego for the Associated Collegiate Press journalism conference. Needless to say, we’re cramming in a lot at the beginning of the week.
UPDATE: We all just got really distracted because two cases of office supplies came in. Hooray for legal pads!
As you can imagine, San Diego is on our minds right now. We’ll be flying out from Manchester Thursday around noon and arriving in San Diego (direct flight) around 7 p.m. eastern time. Thursday night we’ll get settled in, have a group dinner and prepare for Friday when all the seminars begin. This conference is very “new media” based, so we’ll be heading out trying to build on what we’ve already started in terms of video and audio on our Web site. We do plan on doing at least some work while we’re in sunny San Diego. We’ll be updating this blog with photos and videos of our trip so you can get a good idea of what we’re doing. Not to mention we still have a normal paper next week, so Saturday will be filled with some copy editing of stories. See? We are devoted.
Now we’ll all get back to work so we can put out a paper in (relatively) early fashion.
